During the pandemic, as much of life shifted indoors, the world began to inspect their homes through a more critical lens. This led to an increase in demand for high quality, beautiful furniture that people didn’t mind looking at all day, everyday.
With this shift, as well as the reduction in face-to-face shopping, many people turned online to buy new furniture, as well as many other consumer goods. I decided it was a great opportunity to create high-quality Shopify sites for high-end furniture galleries.

To create custom Shopify sites that deviate from the standard themes provided, I coded a custom theme experience that allowed non-development teams to make content and design changes simply in a way that wouldn’t interfere with the integrity of the design.

Many furniture galleries I interacted with were used to conducting business in-person, leaning on the beauty of their stores and their person skills to make a sale. A transition to an online store meant a higher emphasis on beautiful digital design and trust.

Our task was to produce a mood video for the launch that wouldn't reveal the items from the collection but capture their essence—majestic light patterns reflected on glass, plastic and metal.
